ABOUT JASON
Jason M. Bennett is a Marine Corps veteran, business owner and father raising his sons in the Poway Unified School District. He is running for the PUSD Area C seat because he believes families deserve a board member who will fight for their values and put parents back at the center of their children’s education.
His service in the United States Marine Corps shaped the way he leads — with discipline, integrity, and a deep belief in the Constitution. Those same principles guide his fight for patriotic classical education, strong civic engagement, and a community where every parent’s voice matters.
As a business owner, I have managed budgets and ensured my businesses run efficiently. I will do the same for PUSD's budget. What happens in our schools shapes the next generation. Jason is committed to making sure PUSD reflects the values of the families it serves.

01Top Priority
Return to Patriotic Classical Education
PUSD students deserve a classroom rooted in the classics, our founding principles, and a deep respect for American history. A patriotic classical education teaches students how to think, how to read carefully, how to write clearly, and how to engage with the ideas that shaped our Republic.
- • Rigorous, content-rich curriculum that respects our founding
- • Civic literacy, the Constitution, and the responsibilities of citizenship
- • Equip teachers to teach American history and Western classics with confidence

02Community
Parental Advocacy & Civic Engagement
Parents are the primary educators of their children — not the school board, not the administration. I will defend parental rights at every level and rebuild the strong, civically engaged community our schools depend on.

- • Transparent, accessible board meetings with real public comment
- • Town halls and community partnerships that strengthen PUSD

03Core Mission
Academics First
Strengthen reading, writing, math, science, and foundational skills so every student is prepared for a successful future, whether that is college-bound, trade school or jumping right into the work force.
- • Reading and math scores have been dropping. Result focused promotions will ensure student success.
- • C's or better. If a student get's below a C, they should retake the class until it is passed. My son failed a class yet was allowed to promote from 8th grade to 9th grade.
- • As A.I. move more and more into taking techinical jobs, promoting trades and not just college will be a must for our students success.

04Finance
Fiscal Accountability
Address PUSD's budget challenges by prioritizing classroom resources, eliminating waste, improving efficiency, and being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.
- • Remember the "Billion Dollar Bond?" The bond is coming due and tax payers are on the hook.
- • For every homeowner it will likely cost $500 per year on the low end.
- • I will work with the other board members to operate our government as efficiently as I have run my businesses.

Poway is one of the most patriotic, family-centered communities in San Diego County. The families here believe in hard work, service, faith, and country — and they deserve a school board that believes the same thing.
I am running to make sure PUSD reflects the values of the families it serves, not the other way around.
Whether it’s restoring pride in our classrooms, defending parental rights, putting the American and California flags back where they belong, or rebuilding a strong, civically engaged community — this campaign is about making sure every PUSD student walks out of school prepared to lead, serve, and stand for what is right.
